I found it at Whole Foods behind the meat counter. The brand was Amylu and it is pork free, no antibiotics, made in Chicago, all ingredients I knew! sausagesbyamylu.com

Hi Ryan- hmmm...thank you for the suggestion/challenge. I'll be honest with you, as soon as November hits I can barely think about anything but dairy products, and bacon. But, I will see what I can do :)
Thanks,
Emily

This could be made vegan too. Sub pesto for alfredo and sub cheese with veggie shreds, scrap the pancetta. Yum...

For the sauce recipe click on the link for "alfredo sauce" listed under the ingredients. The link will take you right to it. Same for the pizza dough. From one Emily to another...thanks!

@ Ryan marinara wouldn't be my first choice. How about a pesto? They are easy, vegan, and would be fine with the delicate cauliflower.

Hi Keith - Glad you like my humor, and I can provide a distraction. That is why I blog. I would get so wrapped up in everything paint-by-number if I didn't blog about food. You know..."Every man a Rembrandt"?

@Nancy so glad you like it! I try to eat as seasonally as possible. It is better for you, and tastes better too! Unfortunately, I am too impatient for lots of ingredients :)
@Elle isn't the color nice? You could really taste the orange too. Yum! Now I want the pasta attachment for the KA. Believe me...you will have one happy family if you get the ice cream attachment! I have added the KA ice cream maker to my amazon store because I love it sooo much.

@Natalie - I would suggest something like vodka. It won't take away from the light citrus flavors. There are also flavored vodkas that might be fun too. I think a orange flavored would be a wonderful compliment. Let me know if you try it! Thanks, Emily

@Sadf Thank you so much for reminding me that honey is not vegan. I've modified the recipe slightly. For a non-vegan recipe try subbing 1/2 the brown sugar for honey. Thanks! Emily

@Brittney - good question! In order to be vegan all products must be plant based. Honey of course is from bees, which although very cute are not a plant :)

I would definetly order up! So glad you found that informative. Honey is one of those amazing wonder products! My guess is you would need about a tsp. a day over a period of time to get the full benefits of the allergy fighting. Start next June for a great August! :)

So glad you like it! This one (after I made it) seemed like such a duh thing! I always think of corned beef when I think of hash. Although I loved corned beef, this was a great idea to take running! Sounds like you did just that. Are you a food blogger? Did you post it somewhere?

Oh my gosh thank you Kelly! Rhubarb is one of my favorite things ever. Another simple family favorite is to chop it up, cook it down with a little (very little) liquid, fruit juice, water, whatever, and add a little cinnamon, and sugar as desired. It makes a nice little sauce that could stand alone, or mix with applesauce to stretch it a bit. Glad you like it!
